Roll and read is a great way to improve reading accuracy, fluency and speed.

How to use:

Students will roll a dice and then read the pictures, letters, beginning sounds, CVC short vowels, digraphs, CVCe, long vowels, blends or sentences, depending on their level.

You can either read each picture/letter/word one at a time, or improve fluency and read the whole row.

Cover with a counter, or mark off with a whiteboard marker.
